Outings & Adventures at Frank Residences

Life Beyond Your Doorstep

At Frank Residences, we believe that a fulfilling senior life extends well beyond our beautiful campus. Our vibrant activities program is built around one simple idea: staying engaged with the world around you supports not just joy, but also cognitive health, physical well-being, and meaningful social connection. From thoughtfully curated assisted living events to enriching memory care programming, residents have regular opportunities to explore, learn, and connect in ways that support independence, stimulate memory, and bring a renewed sense of energy to each day.

That is why we regularly organize resident outings and carefully planned excursions that give our residents the joy of getting out, exploring, and sharing experiences together. These experiences encourage conversation, strengthen friendships, and provide a sense of purpose, all while offering something new to look forward to and enjoy.

Marin County

One of our most beloved seasonal outings is a spring scenic drive through Marin County, when hillsides come alive with California poppies, lupine, and wild mustard. With sweeping coastal views, redwood groves, and open spaces in full bloom, the experience offers fresh air, beautiful scenery, and shared moments that make it a highlight of the year.

Ferry Building Farmer’s Market

Open year-round, rain or shine, this 3-day-a-week outdoor market offers deliciously made foods and sustainably grown fruits and veggies from local Californian farmers and gardeners alike.

Lunch Outings

Good food shared with good friends is one of life’s simple pleasures, and our regular lunch outings bring residents together to enjoy just that. Whether visiting a favorite like the Indian Clay Oven or trying something new, these meals create a sense of occasion, connection, and something to look forward to.

Exploring San Francisco

San Francisco’s beauty and history are right at our doorstep, and our outings help residents experience the city with fresh eyes. From Twin Peaks to Noe Valley and the Japanese Tea Garden, each excursion offers a chance to explore, connect, and rediscover local favorites.

Shopping Trips

Not every outing needs to be scenic to be meaningful. Our group trips to local neighborhood stores to Costco are resident favorites, offering a fun and relaxed way to get out, browse seasonal finds, and enjoy time together while sharing laughs and discoveries along the way.
