Whether it’s enjoying a quiet evening in your apartment with your cat curled up nearby, sharing smiles with neighbors during a daily walk with your dog, or simply finding comfort in the steady, gentle rhythm of a fish tank, pets truly make our house feel like home.
We understand the vital role they play in a senior’s well-being and are committed to creating a space where both you and your beloved pet can thrive together.
Frank Residents’ Pet-Friendly Guidelines
Our pet policy is designed to keep both residents and pets safe, happy, and thriving. We’ve established a few guidelines for our community’s pet residents and their owners:
Pet Types and Limits: To ensure a peaceful environment for all, we welcome dogs under 25 pounds, cats, and fish. We also have a one-pet-per-apartment limit to help maintain a calm and comfortable community for every resident.
Leash Use and Supervision: For the safety of all residents, dogs must be on a leash and under adult supervision whenever they are outside of your apartment. This prevents pets from wandering and ensures everyone feels secure in our common areas, including our outdoor spaces.
Spaying, Neutering, and Training: For the health and well-being of all animals, we require that all dogs and cats are spayed or neutered. Additionally, all pets must be house-trained before moving in to help us maintain a clean and pleasant environment for everyone.
Designated Pet-Free Areas: While we love our furry friends, some areas are designated as pet-free to ensure the comfort of all residents. Pets are not permitted in dining areas, the fitness center, or cultural spaces like the library or theater. As always, trained service animals are welcome in these areas.
Respect for Communal Spaces: Our communal furniture is for our human residents to enjoy. Please help us keep these spaces clean and welcoming by ensuring your pet stays on the floor and off of our sofas and chairs.
Simple Steps to Bring Your Pet
Moving with your furry friend should be easy, and we’ve designed our pet-friendly community with that in mind. Our goal is to make sure every resident, human and pet alike, feels right at home from day one. To ensure a smooth transition and a safe environment for everyone, we’ve established a few simple guidelines.
Complete a Pet Agreement: including a one-time $500 non-refundable pet fee.
Provide Pet Documentation: proof of vaccinations and registration with a licensed California veterinarian.
Designate Caregivers: two trusted contacts who can step in to care for your pet in case of illness or emergency.
Annual Check-In: review with our Resident Services Manager to ensure you and your pet continue to thrive.
